MindStudio is a tool for professionals, and professionals sometimes face writer’s block. You can now test out the MindStudio Workflow Builder before its official release. Next week, we’ll also release the new API with a set of training materials (including new videos and interactive demos).
The AI giants are probably preparing for something big ahead the Apple Event next week. Anthropic released an Enterprise plan with a 500k context window for the popular Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Ilya (ex-OpenAI) raised $1b for his non-existent AI model, OpenAI might start offering much more expensive plans for ChatGPT, Replit launched “Replit Agent”, and we might be getting a “GPT-Next” model at some point in the future.

🗞️ Industry news
Copyright Anthropic
Anthropic has announced Claude Enterprise, their pitch to capture the corporate AI market. Here's what we know:
500K token context window: Anthropic claims this can handle "hundreds of sales transcripts" or "medium-sized codebases." Google still outshines them with a massive 2M context window, but it’s a step in the right direction for the popular Claude 3.5 Sonnet;
GitHub integration: A beta feature allowing teams to sync entire repos with Claude. Convenient, but users are already building extensions to make this possible in the standard Claude subscription;
Enterprise-grade security: SSO, role-based access, audit logs, and SCIM for user provisioning;
No training on your data: Anthropic explicitly states they won't use customer interactions to improve Claude.
There are still no real updates on Claude 3.5 Haiku & Opus, but we might be closer to a release given the relative silence in the previous weeks.
On a separate note, Anthropic has been plagued by terrible API performance this week, with a plethora of technical issues and very long downtimes. The issues seem resolved right now, and you can keep up to date here.
Some leaks and opinionated influencers are resharing a picture with the next GPT model apparently surpassing GPT-4o’s capabilities by 100x. To account for that, and for the ludicrously high losses they’ll face this year, OpenAI might consider increasing the price of ChatGPT.
There’s no real number around for now, but leaks included options as high as $2000 per month. Realistically speaking, the price won’t be anywhere near that for public consumers, but might reach the thousands if the new model is good enough and aimed at Enterprise customers.
The thing is… building AI models is crazy expensive. It’s not only a technological challenge, but a moral and political one as well. Many countries, including the whole EU, are heavily regulating what can go into AI training, what AI models can do, and more.
Additionally, OpenAI and Anthropic recently signed an agreement to share new models with the Feds before release, and California is following the AI Act in EU to regulate research labs and AI applications.
And, until now… these companies are far from profitable. Researching and developing AIs requires billions and billions of dollars, massive data centers, and huge partnership with trillion-dollar companies (the size of countries) to develop chips, infrastructure, and compute.
In the meantime, you get people angry at paying a few dollars per month to use it. So, while some will shift to enterprise-only, other AI startups could pivot to more expensive plans for SMBs and/or mass adoption.
This is not unique to OpenAI, a $100b unicorn. Even Microsoft had to pause plans to include AI in their office suite due to budget concerns.
I remain confident people will see the value in AI if we keep educating them. Most don’t even know that ChatGPT is more than a plagiarism tool, and that Claude is smarter than a typical autocomplete. Educating is the first step in exploring how AI can transform the way you work.
Copyright Replit
Replit has always been my go-to when trying to deploy AI-written code. As a non-dev, coding is probably the easiest part of development. What’s actually hard is taking that code and doing something with it.
Similarly to how we think about “workflows” in MindStudio, Replit decided to turn their mostly chatbot-oriented interface into a fully functional AI agent that can code products, fix errors, and deploy the app for you.
This means Replit can create databases, connect with external APIs, install dependencies, securely store static files, and add a frontend to interact with all of this in a few minutes. Then, once you’re ready, you can click on one button and et voilà - your project is now live on the internet for everyone to use.
Contrary to tools like Cursor, Replit Agent is a real end-to-end AI programmer that can assist you for the whole journey. To try it out, you need a premium plan ($25/m) and a bit of patience.
I haven’t tested it for long, but my initial testing definitely gave me the classical “wow” moment after finding out a new amazing AI opportunity.
Funny Story of the Week
In a tragicomic turn of events, Time released a new cover for its magazine showcasing the most influential 100 people in AI.
The cover image includes MKBHD (a tech YouTuber) and Scarlett Johansson, but didn’t include real moguls of the industry like Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Ilya Sutskever, Satya Nadella or Sam Altman.
They basically managed to exclude all the most important people in AI for their cover on the most influential people in AI.
Just to give you an idea of how inaccurate the cover is, keep in mind Ilya just raised $1b for his SSI startup. The company has no real team, the homepage is a static HTML website with no styling, and it has no product - not even an alpha or a “coming soon”.
The entire funding round solely relied on Ilya being Ilya.
🔥 Product Updates
a preview of the new API
Next week, we will also release version 2 of our API, which comes with huge improvements to the stability, performance, and dev resources:
Here’s what’s new:
Workspace-Level API Management: Manage your API settings directly from your workspace, with access to high-level statistics on successful and failed requests;
API Keys Management: View, create, and delete API keys easily. Track when each key was created and last used;
API Logs: Access detailed logs of API requests, including request and response data, HTTP status codes, and source information;
Debugger Improvements: API requests are now visible from the debugger and tagged as “API” for easy identification during development;
Help & Documentation: Access sample requests and documentation directly from the API settings in your workspace.
If you’re currently using the API, keep an eye on your inbox to receive further updates. You'll have a month to update your Zapier workflows and standard API workflows.
We also released a new image generation models.
From Stability AI:
Stable Image Core
Stable Image Ultra
Stable Diffusion 3
From Ideogram (great at text generation):
Ideogram V1
Ideogram V2
Ideogram V1 (Remix)
Ideogram V2 (Remix) - Remix an existing images based on text description & original image URL
Ideogram Upscale - Upscale an image up to 2x resolution
Last week, we teased the MindStudio workflow builder:
This whole workflow was auto-generated by the workflow builder, including ALL prompts, variables, and endpoints. It also chose the models and input types for me.
The builder is now available for testing!
Here's a quick 4m tutorial on how to use it: https://youtu.be/WtIYAUQuSa4
And here's the template to clone in your workspace: https://app.mindstudio.ai/ais/005ecd1e-f080-4f80-bbd3-a89af931354f/use
The app can generate standard workflows (with inputs) and API workflows (special syntax, no inputs). Don't use the API option if you're not familiar with how the API works.
The builder is still in alpha stage and can produce inaccurate / unhelpful results. Please report them to me by replying to this email.
Each run costs between $0.10 and $0.15-20. You can decrease the cost by changing the underlying model for the flow to cheaper models like Gemini 1.5 Flash or GPT-4o mini, but I can't guarantee the output will be as good - 3.5 Sonnet is the only one that is nearly perfect in the JSON output.
💡 Tip of The Week
DALL-E 1 (left) vs DALL-E 3 (right)
I’m an AI nerd. Many of you reading this are too.
Too often, nerds are so focused on what cool new feature is coming next they get stuck in the shiny object syndrome and forget just how far we’ve come.
On top, you can see the difference between an AI-generated image in 2021 (displayed by OpenAI to show how cool it was) and one in 2024.
I can show similar examples for text-only AI, going from autocomplete GPT-2 to full articles for less than a cent with GPT-4o mini or Claude 3 Haiku.
AI Intelligence is one of the only technologies that went from incredibly expensive to affordable for most people and companies in the span of a couple of years.
Take advantage of it.
You don’t need yet another DALL-E to start generating images.
You don’t need GPT-5 to completely revolutionize how you create content.
You don’t need your voice cloned in a professional studio to start editing with AI.
You have everything you need to completely transform how you work. It might not get you 100% there yet, but it will save you HOURS and make previously impossible workflows for small individuals possible.
Let me give you a personal example.
I built my first blog at 13y old and never stopped working in digital marketing. I wrote hundreds of articles in multiple languages, managed websites from small one-pagers to e-commerce shops, and every single time creating content was a very, very complicated process.
It usually involved hiring multiple junior writers, a couple of managers, establishing whole pipelines to fact-check, and more. In the hyper-competitive tech space, it’s not uncommon to pay over $500 for an article.
With AI, a quality article can cost as little as $0.10 or so. Then, you can get a human reviewer to ensure factuality and add the final touches. You save money, they save the tedious part of the job.
As a solo content marketer w/ AI in a previous role, I was able to publish nearly an article per day, add dozens of AI-first tools to generate more traffic, and even outreach to blogs and journalists to get featured on their blogs. This would have been impossible to handle as a one-person team in the past.
Again, will it work all the time?
No, it won’t. Most of this newsletter is 100% written by me, AI only proofreads it in the end and helps with news summaries.
But it will work for the vast majority of content you’ll publish: glossary pages, programmatic SEO pages, e-commerce page descriptions, SEO metadata, open graph values, alt tag for images (thousands in one go), accessibility tags, and more.
All of this is now not only possible, but relatively easy to achieve. And this is just ONE example in ONE niche.
Just wanted to take a moment to remember how far we’ve come, and what’s already possible, today, with AI.
